Everything is SHIPPED - Yay!

So excited to make this update: Everything has been shipped.
I repeat, everything has been shipped!
In fact, it took me a little bit to get to write this update (life is wild), so most everything shipped like a week ago. Including the necklaces. They were either included in the box or shipped separately, depending.
I've already gotten some great comments, emails, and tags on social media of people getting their books. So, so glad they're gorgeous and that you love them.
A few more notes...
We had some questions come in production, which is totally normal for a situation where we only place the orders after the campaign closes, like a Kickstarter. That's why the sprayed edges took way longer than we would have liked.
In addition to that, I didn't love the way the pencil bag came out, so I upgraded it to change the style and add foiling so they would match the books better.
I also didn't love the print quality of the NSFW print on vellum, so I had it done as a print, which turned out gorgeous. (I'm obsessed with this NSFW print by the way. I haven't shown it anywhere online so that's a fun reveal for you. It's in the envelope with the art cards (toward the back so as not to shock anyone.)

Without those it can take longer with some back and forths until we confirm all that, before we can give you the information or help you need.

Thank you so much for your patience! We've been diligently packing boxes and are ready to begin shipping them out.
Each package is sniff-tested by our QA manager, as you can see...
The necklace supplier only sent us part of them and needed more time for the rest. Since those won't be arriving until June 5th, we're just going to start shipping without them. Most people who ordered the necklace, it's already packed for you. In the few cases where we don't have it yet, we'll ship it later, separately, at our own expense.
If you didn't order a necklace, this doesn't apply to you.
In that case, we have everything!
Including that special NSFW add on, so make sure you only open the envelope with no kiddos around 🔥
You will get an email when it ships. As with most packages it will tell you that as soon as we print the postage, but it may take a day or two for the mail carriers to pick it up and load it into their systems for tracking. I'm in Texas, so those of you in the US and near me will get it pretty soon. Those of you farther away, it'll take longer.
Please give it a couple of weeks at least after you get your email saying it's been shipped before reaching out. We can only see the same information as you, in the tracking number. If you do have questions or concerns regarding shipping, the way to email us is [email protected].

So excited to share some of the beautiful photos of the gold foil and sprayed edges on the hardcovers, which turned out beautifully. I also have images of some other rewards!

Also, I wasn't completely happy with the makeup / pencil pouch design we had during the campaign, so I reworked it and even added gold foil so it would match the covers better...
And here's a better photo so you can see some of the postcards with the original artwork and the checkmate necklace...
I'm so thrilled with the way everything is coming out.
When will we ship the books?
I posted in the last update about some of the quality issues we had with printers. While the BookTok phenomenon is incredible for our genres, it also means that printers are overworked and can deliver worse products. I wasn't willing to send something questionable, so I found a different solution that involved printing them with someone who delivers great quality for hardcovers and foil...but they don't do sprayed edges.
Mr. Warren came to my rescue and has figured out how to do, but it's a long, slow process. He had surgery on his foot on Friday, and it went amazing, but there's still some recovery time. They took pretty massive screws out because they were coming out on their own. I will spare you the photo here but I have it on my Facebook profile if you're curious. He's made his way through some of the books, but still has a lot to go.

As I said in the last update, I don't want to give a date at this point that is either a) wrong, or b) encourages him to push himself and not heal properly. But I will let you guys know as soon as we start boxing orders.

Hello, readers!
I'm so excited to come to you with good news. The original printer that we had gotten our quote from during the campaign ended up really struggling with the format and quality. I worked with them back and forth for a long time but ultimately realized it was not working.
The crux of the issue was the sprayed edges, which are a very detailed, delicate process. Most printers don't even offer them.
We even contemplated foregoing the sprayed edges and offering some other reward as recompense. But I really wanted the books as we had promised them. Besides, the gold edges I envisioned would also match the gold foil on the hardcover and the dust cover.
What's a troubled romance author to do?
Turn to her trusty husband, at least this time. Mr. Warren saved the day by learning how to spray edges. I had a printer who does great quality work do the book and the dust jacket, with the gold foils. Now we're doing the edges at home.
So that's where we currently are in the process. It's a very time consuming, slow process as each book is wrapped and sprayed, but the result is BEAUTIFUL, and I'm so proud of how they look.

I'm not showing you guys the final, finished books yet...
I actually had a photographer come in and shoot some photos of the final product, just because I'm so happy about how it looks. With the reflections on the gold it was tricky for me to photograph myself. I'm always so admiring of Bookstagram folks who can take beautiful pictures.
The photographer came today and will send me the photos later in the week, and I'll post a big reveal, along with photos of some of the other rewards, like the necklaces and the pencil / makeup pouches, which had a design change and look gorgeous.
I'm hesitant to give a date for shipping at this time, since the word is still ongoing. Plus, Mr. Warren has surgery on his foot on Friday. (He broke it last year and some of the screws are pressing on his nerves!) So we aren't completely sure how long he'll be out of commission. The good news is we have all the pieces except for the edges.
