Thank you so much for making this such an incredible first fiction Kickstarter for me. I'm so grateful that you helped me bring Gabriel and Avery to life via these beautiful special editions.
Since we funded, Kickstarter is doing the work of collecting payments and verifying pledges. This is something done entirely by Kickstarter, not by me, so please get with them if you need to change payment methods or things like that. They should be emailing with you.
Once they finalize the backers I'll be able to send out a survey confirming your shipping address and some other things. I'll also be able to place the order for our print run. So don't worry, a lot is happening behind the scenes with Kickstarter and with me, I'll keep you updated as we go!

There are only 24 hours left in the Endgame Kickstarter...
I'm obsessed with this image of Damon Scott. The peaches painting above the mantel is particularly meaningful to the story of Penny and Damon.
You guys also helped us cross the stretch goal to get NSFW artwork of Gabriel and Avery in THE PAWN. That will be included as a Vellum insert in every physical order.
There are no plans to sell this elsewhere, because with the gold foil and sprayed edges, we need to place a large single order for the books at one time. There's no way to do print on demand for these special editions with their super high quality and features.

We hit the stretch goal, everyone! Which means we'll have some very spicy NSFW character art coming your way in Vellum inserts for all physical orders.
I also have a mea culpa to share... when I commissioned the art for THE QUEEN, I said that Penny's hair was brown. When I launched the Kickstarter a reader pointed out that her hair was actually blonde, like a strawberry blonde. So embarrassing for me to get a detail wrong about my own book, but hey. I love her both ways. And I'm grateful to my artist, @alicia.mb.art, who was able to squeeze an update into her schedule so we can get those gorgeous curls on the cover...
This character art is part of the cover for the special editions of THE QUEEN. It's also available as post cards in some of the tiers. Penny is GORGEOUS. I love her so much.

At the Book Bonanza signing this year, one reader was recommending my books to another reader, and she said, "You will never look at chess pieces the same way again." And I love that!
I'm so excited to introduce my very first stretch goal, which is a super spicy NSFW hand-drawn art piece featuring Gabriel and Avery. If we get to $10,000 in backers we'll get this, so make sure to share, share, share with bookish friends to help us get there!
The art piece will feature the scene that follows this excerpt...

“Or you could visit the library,” she says, pulling out a covered bowl of what looks like chicken pot pie filling. I hope I’ll be able to have some of that later.
She gives me directions, and I walk down the oversize hallways into an even larger room. My eyes widen as I realize this has a second floor, reachable by a spiral staircase. Little angels with trumpets are carved into the mahogany near the top. At the bottom, hands reach out of the flames.
Okay, that’s disturbing.
What’s even more disturbing is that this room seems made for me. The fire’s already burning with a faint, pleasant crackle. There’s a gleaming rustic wood chess set lined up in the center of the table.
On the table beside the fireplace are a stack of books—Fairy Tales from around the Mediterranean, The Myth of Homer Revealed. It’s too much to think Gabriel spends his evenings reading Greek mythology. These are for me.
“Ready to play?” comes a low voice.
I whirl, dropping the book I’m holding. Fairy Tales from around the Mediterranean lands spread open, its spine stretched. I pick it up before it bends, hugging the large volume to my chest. “Play?”
He steps out from behind the spiral staircase. Was he waiting for me there? “Chess.”
What would you do with her? Damon asked.
Play chess, Gabriel answered, turning me into a joke.
“No, thank you.”
“Do you think you can say no?”
Defiance burns in my veins. My mind, my soul. That’s my leverage, Candy said, and I don’t plan to give him any. “You bought my body, that’s all.”
“I bought all of you.”

What happens next is the absolute hottest game of chess you'll ever read, with some inventive uses for chess pieces, and I would LOVE to see it in a NSFW drawing! If we get the stretch goal, it will include a Vellum insert of the scene.

Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations with this Kickstarter! I have something new to share, which is the sticker page that comes with most of the physical purchases. It's so pretty. I'm in love!
